Captain's Log

Captain's Log is a sandbox board game where you command a colonial-era ship and compete with other players to become the most famous captain of all.

The game begins with the selection of our ship. We will have the possibility to choose between a fast and agile but fragile ship; a well-balanced ship, if we want to be on the safe side; and a heavy and slow but strong ship. We can transform our ship into a fearsome warship and plunder the boarded ships or into the fastest sailing boat ever imagined. We will be able to trade in the market to obtain doubloons, grow our crew, improve our weapons and cargo capacity, enlist in a mission and obtain a reward, explore the ocean to search for treasures, fight against or with others and, above all, acquire wealth.

During the game, we will come into contact with other ships commanded by our friends (although we know that at the table there are often no friendships that matter). As we explore the map, we will start to see other ships belonging to the different nations of the game. These are Spain, Holland, France, England and pirates and privateers. During the game, you will be able to decide if you want to side with one of these nations, which will give you a number of advantages. However, nothing in this life is free and your actions may lead you to make enemies of some other nations, which will cause their ships to take it out on you and try to sink you in the ocean.
