The age of dinosaurs has arrived! Your goal in Chomp is to raise herds of dinosaurs and make sure they are all fed. Both herbivores and carnivores need food sources, but if carnivores are not fed enough, they will have no problem munching on a herb to fill their bellies!
The game features two rows of objective tiles and dinosaur tiles, and each turn players select a tile to add to their personal layout. The objective tiles remain to the side for final scoring, and the dinosaur tiles are placed in front of each player. The dinosaur tiles include three sizes of herbivores and carnivores. Each tile must overlap the previous ones, over a quarter tile, half a tile, or even a whole tile, ensuring that any covered dinosaurs are completely hidden.
Adjacent dinosaurs of the same species form herds that eat together if they are connected to a single food source, or die together if they have no food, are adjacent to a tar pit, or next to a carnivore that hasn't eaten anything!
At the end of the game, each alive and fed dinosaur scores 1 to 3 points depending on its size, and the player with the highest score wins.
