DESCRIPTION
Great Western Trail is the new edition of Alexander Pfister's classic game.
Players must transport their herd across the Midwest prairie and deliver it to Kansas City. But beware! Other cowboys are using the same route. A new solo mode and new herds await, so saddle up!
The changes and innovations introduced by this Second Edition are:
- Brand new artwork by Chris Quilliams
- Solo game mode
- Dual-layer boards (double layer with recesses that block the pieces)
- Addition of a new breed of cows: the Simmental breed
- Two new reversible buildings (no. 11 and 12)
- 12 Trade Tokens, first introduced in the Rails of North expansion, for greater interaction with other players
- Four new Master tiles added for increased strategy, replayability and challenge
