Hutan - Life in the Rainforest

From the creators of Heat, Hutan is a competitive, strategic, tile-placement game.

HUTAN, an Indonesian word meaning “forest,” invites you to create a vibrant rainforest by planting flowers, growing trees, and attracting wildlife. You take turns choosing cards from a shared market to enhance your forest, with each choice influencing your evolving blueprint.

HOW TO PLAY:
All players have access to a rainforest area where they can plant saplings and flowers that, over time, grow into towering trees. When a habitat is created, an iconic forest animal such as the orangutan or Sumatran tiger arrives.

HUTAN is played in nine rounds with two turns per player in each round.

On your turn, you take a flower card from the common market and place it in your rainforest. If you place a flower on top of a matching flower, you grow a tree. When an area is full of trees, the last tree is replaced by an animal. This flower planting scheme will continually change depending on your initial decisions, and the modular board will provide an exceptional challenge in every game.

At the end of the game, the player who has grown the best rainforest and attracted the most animals will score the most points and win.
