Welcome to the Queen's Annual Banquet! Send your emissaries to the royal table, earning the favor of the court. No trick is too dirty to shine a light on your favorite families!
Carps, Deer, Toads, Hares, Butterflies and Nightingales: at the royal court, six different families compete for the privilege of obtaining the Queen's favour and try in every possible way to disgrace the rival families.
Play your cards at the Queen's table and in your opponents' domains. You will not only have to try to get the highest score: as true court conspirators, your goal will be to put your opponents in difficulty by assigning them figures from families fallen into disgrace. In addition, you will have secret missions to complete during the game.
If you study your moves well, you will earn precious additional points that could prove crucial to victory!
You receive and play 3 cards each turn. One of them will be played at the Queen's table to change the influence of a family... in a positive or negative way. The other two cards are played, one in your domain and the other in that of an opponent, and can be worth positive or negative points, depending on the status of the respective family at the end of the game. Choose where to best place your 3 cards if you want to end up with the most points.
Court Intrigues is a game with refined aesthetics and valuable components such as the 90 courtier cards with foil effects and a cloth mat with illustrations of the families. Each house is distinguished by a color: blue for the Carps, dark green for the Deers, light green for the Toads, yellow for the Hares, gray for the Butterflies and red for the Nightingales. Let yourself be enveloped by the mellifluous atmosphere of the court where courtiers and noble vassals weave their intrigues, between flattery and whispered slander, in a perpetual struggle for power.
The Queen's court is frequented by some prominent figures who stand out from the subjects for their special abilities: the Nobles will have more value in the end-of-game count, the Spies are always played face down, so as not to reveal their family until the end of the game, the Assassins have the power to eliminate another card at the Queen's table or in the ranks of the opponents and finally the Guards, once played, can no longer be removed. Will you be able to move in this world of intrigue and conspiracy?
Don't miss the chance to immerse yourself in this fascinating game of strategy and diplomacy!
