Lupus in Tabula is rightly considered a classic among party games: a game that offers intense evenings of deception and far-fetched deductions, where discussions, twists, unfounded accusations and, of course, fun abound.
In this game, suitable for even very large groups, players receive a secret role that assigns them to one of two sides: the Wolves on one side, the Villagers who live in the village of Tabula on the other. The aim of the Wolves, a small group of Werewolves and a few unlikely allies, is to gradually eliminate all the others, making a single bite of them during the night and avoiding being discovered. The aim of the Villagers, on the other hand, is to identify the Wolves and eliminate them by exploiting the strength of numbers. Luckily for them, in this task they can rely on several characters with special abilities that influence the game in different ways: the Seer, the Medium, the Bodyguard and many others are part of the human faction of the village!
The game develops over turns that repeat two phases in a cycle:
During the Night everyone is forced to keep their eyes closed, while one at a time the characters with special abilities can make use of them: not least the hungry Wolves, who relentlessly go hunting every night after sunset!
The Day, on the other hand, is the time for "civil" discussions and "peaceful" confrontations...which often degenerate into accusations of werewolfism, desperate defenses and the like, before inevitably culminating in a bloody but necessary remedy for the wolf infestation: the lynching of a suspect every day!
The succession of these phases leads to the ranks of the players becoming thinner and thinner, until a victory condition occurs: either the Wolves finally have the majority in numbers and no longer have to fear the gallows, or they are all dead and the Villagers can finally relax and go back to living in peace... all this provided that the Werehamster, the most enigmatic character in the entire game, is not still alive: if at the end of the game he is still alive, victory belongs to him alone!
The Full Moon Edition of Lupus in Tabula It's a version that benefits from a revision of the rules and a renewed graphic design: who will win in this fight for survival more chaotic, cruel and fun than ever?
