The Old King's Crown is a card-driven board game of royalty, rebels, and stratagems. You play as the heirs to a vacant throne, vying for control of an ancient and prosperous kingdom. Use the unique abilities and traits of your followers to best outwit your opponents on a map that spans from the shaky heights of the castle to the soft light of the necropolis.
As the leader of your faction, you must openly express your demands through the Heralds and deploy your forces in secret, hoping to conquer locations that suit your designs. However, keep an eye on your rivals, as they too have agents ready to thwart your best-laid plans.

In The Old King's Crown, players move their Herald toward locations, hoping to claim them. Then, simultaneously, players play cards from their hand, face down, onto the board's regions. These are then revealed and resolved. Winning these battles yields various rewards that favor the player's position and secure the game's main goal: influence. When a player reaches a predetermined amount of influence, dependent on the number of players, and maintains it until the end of a turn, they win the game.

It includes four distinct factions to choose from, a deck of neutral cards to recruit, an innovative approach to deck management, a full solo mode, and dynamic turns for simultaneous revelation and precise, strategic turns.
