DESCRIPTION

Viking Raiders is a card game for 2-5 players in which players are Viking chieftains, who battle to build the largest fleet, create the largest clan, and obtain the most loot.

On your turn, you draw 2 cards to see what your clan has been up to while you were away "in charge." Have they focused on resources and mined stone or gold, gathered lumber, created new Vikings, or stockpiled food? Sometimes they spent their time preparing actions for you by capturing a wandering Berserker or preparing for a raid (one of their favorite feats). Or perhaps they obtained a favor from one of the Norse gods or goddesses?

Each turn you can use an action (such as participating in a raid or using a favor from a God or Goddess) and purchase an item from a central market. You purchase items using the resources in your hand and can choose between ships for your Navy, buildings for your Clan, and valuable items for your Loot. Each item gives 1-3 Victory Points and the first player to have an agreed number of Victory Points in each category wins the game.

There are also four rare abilities that sometimes appear in the market. Oh, and watch out for Ragnarok...!

Compact and travel-friendly, this gateway game is ideal for casual players and families with children aged 9 and up.
