DESCRIPTION

War Chest is an original war game that uses the “bag building” mechanic; you will have to build your reserve of available units and actions by initially “drafting” a series of tokens that will be placed in a reserve bag from which you will have to draw 3 tokens each turn.

These tokens, in addition to representing the various units that you can deploy during the game, will also indicate the actions that you can perform. You will therefore have to carefully plan your moves based on the tokens drawn in the turn and those that you can draw in future turns in order to build a strategy that is impossible for your opponent to counter.

The aim of the game is to place all of your control markers.
In each round, players draw 3 tokens from their bag and take turns playing one at a time. The token played can be:
1. placed on the board to create the unit or reinforce an already placed one;
2. discarded face down in order to take a new token, pass or become the first player;
3. discarded face up to move an equal token on the board, place a control marker, or attack an opponent's token.

The tokens correspond to cards with particular characteristics that allow specific actions.

The rules start with an explanation for two-player games, but there are rules for playing with four players (two teams of two players each), advanced rules and, finally, suggestions for army compositions to reproduce famous battles.
