Betrayal of the Second Era is a cooperative tabletop adventure for 1-4 players from Chip Theory Games. The game is available now on Gamefound. The game will be a lavish production, packed with gorgeous stitched playmats, custom dice, chunky tokens, and PVC cards.

As with video games, players can expect a mix of exploration, character building, dungeon crawling, and combat. The game's tabletop combat and character creation systems are heavily inspired by Chip Theory's award-winning title, Too Many Bones. Each adventure in the game takes place over the course of three play sessions, lasting approximately one hour per player. Players will customize and control a single hero for all three adventure sessions, managing multiple skill lines, classes, and experiencing the many regions of Tamriel, each with its own flavor and mechanics.

The game places a strong emphasis on character building. Experience points are distributed generously, allowing players to build interesting and unique characters in the consolidated time required for a tabletop experience. The character is maintained for a total of three game sessions. Progression from one game session to the next is significant, but players are not forced to remember complex narrative points or play with the same group forever.

Betrayal of the Second Era is set during the events of the Planemeld, as the Order of the Black Worm plots to secure the Amulet of Kings. While the dark cult plots, however, one of its members is plotting an even darker betrayal, one that will bind Tamriel to the Fade forever. Adventurers will uncover his machinations in a wealth of replayable content. We can't wait to share more with you!
