Kabuto Sumo is not a skill game, but rather an interactive physics puzzle game where the goal is to push your opponents out of the ring. Pushing discs may seem simple, but you must choose the right fighter for the match, develop a strategy, and quickly adapt to changes. Each fighter is based on a real insect and its physiological defense mechanisms. They all have special moves that introduce variables that can drastically affect the game, so be sure to use them wisely!
Choosing a fighter is one of the most important parts of the game. Each insect has a signature move with special advantages related to its actual physiological characteristics. These moves are accompanied by uniquely shaped pieces that can greatly influence the physics of the game and play an important role in defining the strategy. It is up to you to choose which types of pieces you want to remove from the board and how and when to use your signature move. Will you use it at the beginning of the game to set the tone or will you wait and use it as a finishing move?

To add variety to the game and expand the world of Kabuto Sumo, you can add the Insect All-Star expansion with 8 new fighters, each with their own skills and characteristics. And they all fit in the same box!
For example, the Composer is a giant centipede with five special moves. When used strategically, a player can collect and swap his discs to use all the pieces of his signature move and make a giant push to victory!

Additionally, the Total Mayhem expansion is also available, which provides a variety of what professional wrestlers call "foreign objects." Each of these objects (ladders, chairs, coffins, ...) are placed into play both inside and outside the ring to enhance the physics of all the different shapes pushing each other! Additionally, each object introduces new victory conditions that can speed up the game and add more strategic depth.
