Frederick II, Holy Roman Emperor and King of Germany and Italy, was a man of extraordinary culture, energy, and ability. His contemporaries called him stupor mundi (“the wonder of the world”), and many historians consider him the first modern ruler of Europe.

In this new strategy game by Nestore Mangone (Darwin's Journey, Newton, Autobahn) you will take on the role of one of Frederick II's vassals, where you will summon Allies from across the Mediterranean, build your own castle and promote Specialists to improve your kingdom.

Through a clever card selection mechanism, you will have to carefully select actions, some of which will trigger Edicts that will influence Frederick's Palace and determine the rewards players may receive from their Allies.

Will you remain loyal to the Emperor or support the Independent Allies? Keep an eye on what your opponents are up to and form alliances when the time is right, or go your own way when things get too complicated.
