DESCRIPTION

The colonization of the Red Planet has begun!

Corporations are competing to transform Mars into a habitable planet by spending a lot of resources and using innovative technologies to raise the temperature, create a habitable atmosphere and oceans of water. As terraforming progresses, more and more people will emigrate from Earth to live on the Red Planet.

In Terraforming Mars, players take on the roles of Corporations and work together in the terraforming process, but compete for victory points that are awarded not only for their contributions to this creation, but also for advancing human infrastructure throughout the solar system.

Players acquire project cards that can range from introducing plants or animals to launching asteroids to the surface, building cities, mining Jupiter's moons, or founding greenhouse gas industries to heat the atmosphere. Each player keeps track of the progress of their production and resources, each round is called a Generation: the goal is to reach three global parameters (temperature, oxygen, and oceans) to declare the Terraforming complete.
