Unconscious Mind

In the early 1900s, Sigmund Freud published a revolutionary theory related to the world of the unconscious and the human psyche. As psychoanalysis became more and more known, its supporters took the habit of meeting regularly at Freud's house every Wednesday to analyze the world of dreams and their symbolism. These meetings paved the way for the study of psychoanalysis throughout the world. In Unconscious Mind, players are part of the Wednesday Psychological Society. The goal of the game is to create new therapies, establish practices for analysis and find new patients. To be the best, you will have to keep up with the others by sharing your insights, comparing your ideas with colleagues and publishing new theories. And to always stay active and not give in to tiredness, you will not be able to do without a lot of coffee.

Unconscious Mind is a Euro game that combines different mechanics: worker placement, game engine creation, multiple wheels and cascading effects. During their turn, a player can place one or two of their ideas (the workers) on the board to access the actions. The placement of the ideas will also determine how many ink bottles the player will have available to activate one of the rows or columns of the player board, creating, from time to time, a series of different effects. In order to treat your clients and interpret their dreams, you need to work with a proper chain of Insights that allow you to free your patient from his affliction. This dynamic is represented by a series of transparent cards that cover the client cards - managing to cure the patient will allow the player to exploit their abilities. Once the group has established its reputation, the game ends and the player with the most reputation points is the winner.
